Enrique has been involved in the Human Resources and Talent leadership arena for the last 25 years through a variety of industries and roles. After 16 years with Pfizer in progressive management roles in the Midwest and East Coast, he then led specialty roles at Washington Mutual, First American and Liberty Mutual having responsibility for large scale merger and acquisition, recruiting and training functions in California.
After leading Human Resources for Driscoll Berries largest grower, he created iPotential; a human Resources consultancy to support organizations with full time assignments focusing on strategic business planning, Human Resources operations and executive search. His most recent assignment over the last 2 years included the role of Vice President of Human Resources for a rapidly expanding non- profit in Los Angeles.
In between his experiences with Pfizer in the early 1990’s, Enrique started consulting in the then nascent and rapidly growing diversity movement with clients such as 3M, Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic and Boeing. He served 7 years on the Society of Human Resources Washington D.C. based diversity and legislative affairs board and most recently as president of the Orange County Diversity Council and continues to speak and write as the field has grown to ensure diversity leads to full inclusion and engagement.
Enrique holds his Bachelors in Industrial Relations, and Masters Certification in Organization Development from the University of Minnesota. He credits his opportunities in life to a vibrant b-icultural upbringing from his Mexican immigrant parents who insisted on great education while modeling hard work and providing the hands down, best anywhere Mexican food anywhere. Their love for seeing the work and immersing one in other cultures has been important in navigating through an increasingly multicultural workplace.
