Sofia Reed serves as the Vice President of Business Operations, Development and Training for the National Diversity Council. In this role, she works with the leadership team to ensure that the NDC caters to partners’ needs and remains at the forefront of the DEI arena. Sofia joined the NDC in 2011 as the Florida Coordinator. Some of Sofia’s key contributions over the past nine years include helping develop the NDC’s first five-year strategic plan; launching the organization’s Training & Development department; developing a holistic performance appraisal process; and most recently, spearheading the launch of the Coalition for Racial Justice & Equity. Sofia graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a double concentration in Ethnic Studies and Anthropology, completed an M.S. in HR Management from Nova Southeastern University, and obtained her PHR, SHRM-CP, and NDC-CDP credentials. Sofia was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, yet spent the majority of her life in Tampa, Florida.
