Jessica EstévezSince graduating college at the age of 19, Estévez has invested her passions, skills and resources to creating socially equitable spaces where communities can thrive. As a trainer, diversity consultant, educator, international speaker and social justice advocate Estévez has facilitated learning, program design, strategic management and team building for thousands of non-profit, K-12, higher education and corporate audiences.
Recently she was elected to serve as a National Fellow of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Community Leadership Network. Embedded in this effort are two primary approaches: community and civic engagement and racial equity and healing. Estévez incorporates these approaches to her vision of a community where individuals are able to love without fear. This becomes evident in her management and collaboration practices as the Vice-President of Estrategia Group a consulting firm focused on providing ideas, strategies and solutions to non-profits, educational institutions and businesses.
Additional projects she is working on currently include Online Teaching and Learning leadership, Prison Education Program, Non-Profit Management and Operational Audits and Youth Leadership Development Mentoring and Training.
In her previous position as the Director of Programs for Community Tampa Bay., Jessica developed and managed leadership and diversity education programs designed to empower youth and adults with tools to help them combat social injustice. The programs have served and cultivated over 5000 leaders in the Tampa Bay area. In 2011, Jessica was honored to present the ANYTOWN™ program at the recent meeting of the United Nations Intergovernmental Working Group on the Effective Implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action in Geneva, Switzerland.
In 2010, Jessica was a recipient of USA Network Characters Unite Award, which recognizes extraordinary individuals who have made significant efforts to fight prejudice and discrimination, while increasing respect and inclusion.
Jessica completed her Online Teaching and Learning Certificate through University of Wisconsin Stout. Other programs and certifications include Bank of America’s Neighborhood Excellence Leadership Program; 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens; Points of Light Youth Leadership Institute; Gallup School of Management, Strengths Finder and Global Learning Partners, dialogue and teaching skill development program.
